1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, finely chopped
2 (4 oz.) cans green chilies, chopped
3 tablespoons chili powder (2 tablespoons for milder dip)
2 teaspon garlic salt
1 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed
12 to 16 oz. package sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix tomatoes, green chiles, chili powder, and garlic salt. Do not cook.
Layer in 2-quart casserole dish: Velveeta, tomato mixture, and cheddar cheese. Repeat; make sure cheddar cheese is always the last layer.
Bake 30 minutes.
Serve warm with tortilla chips.
